Daylight Savings Scandal

This morning I woke up mad at my alarm clock...
"Why didn't you go off? I remember setting you last night and then double-checking again around midnight so that I wouldn't oversleep."

Now it is 7:15am and no alarm has gone off..."Hello Mr.Alarm clock. Did you enjoy your little nap this morning? Well, now I'm late for church and its all your fault!"

No one is going to beleive that my alarm didn't go off. Who really believes that excuse anyway. Why would an alarm clock choose not to go off? They don't have brains.

So, I grab my phone to call Scott to tell him I'm on my way. My phone says it is 6:15am...(that's weird). I must have messed up the time somehow. Maybe Cody got ahold of it and changed the settings to Central Time?

OK, the brain is starting to have some synapsis firing off in there. I start thinking, "maybe there is a reason that the phone changed time on its own and the clock didn't...what would that be?" Then it hits me. I remember that daylight savings is today. Yep, it all makes sense now. Although now I'm wide awake and not taking advantage of this extra hour of sleep.

Thanks Benjamin Frankin for that gift of time. Next year, I'll try to use it a little better than trying to implicate my alarm clock in a malicious act that he had nothing to do with in the first place.
