Getting a little beauty sleep

Here is Abby doing one of her favorite things. She still sleeps most of the time.

Let the training begin

Big brother Cody has already started teaching Abby how to be a kid. Here is the first lesson on proper binky implementation.

Welcome Abby!!!

The day has finally arrived. Well... It actually passed. We have been without web access for a few days. So this is the first opportunity we have had to make a post. At 7:54am, Abby Michelle Stuckey was born! She weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 21" long. Baby and Mommy are both doing great.

Few more hours...

We are so anxious and excited about Baby Girl coming tomorrow morning! Actually I'm the anxious one. Clay is so calm and collected. He is my rock and is keeping me from going crazy. I have a million things that I want to do tonight instead of sleep. I have thank yous to write, birthday gifts to purchase, people I want to call, lists I want to make of things to do when I come back home....I can't just stop now! But Clay is telling me to rest....and I know he is right. So, I will log off tonight and try to sleep.
FYI: Our surgery will be at 7:30am. We may not be able to post anything tomorrow unless we get internet connection at the hopstial. If there is anything posted, it will be Clay writing. I think my typing would end up being jibberish with the meds I will have in me. So, think about us and pray for us and we hope to share the good news with everyone very soon!

Big, Big Belly

It is amazing how the human body can stretch to the size it does during pregnancy!

This is Baby Girl Stuckey just 2 days before her birthday. I can't imagine how she has room in there to do anything, but she remains very active all the time!

The more I look at these pictures, it reminds me of another famous belly I've seen on TV. It's a pretty close resemblence, wouldn't you agree?

When life gives you lemons...

Cody makes the cutest faces when he eats lemons. I don't know if he likes the taste or just our reaction to his expressions. Here is a shot of him at Uno Mas restaurant in Mt.Pleasant. This is Cody at his cutest!

OK, one more cute picture... this is Cody testing the new Pack-n-Play that Grandma Carolyn sent yesterday. He thinks it is a fun play toy for him!

Nesting has begun...

I have packed about 10 months worth of anticipation, excitement, planning, etc. into the last week or so. Until now, I had not really thought much about the baby coming. Sure I knew she was coming and I knew that eventually I would have to get things ready, but it has all kicked in this week...the "nesting" has begun! In a way it is overwhelming and exhausting (but I really do love it). Poor Clay is doing all kinds of organizing & cleaning for me. I bet he can't wait until this phase is over.

The Stuckey Men

I have two amazing guys in my life...Clay & Cody. One loves to play drums and the other loves to tinker with gadgets. Actually the more I think about it, the more they have in common! They are both cute as can be and have personalities to match. I love watching them play together. Cody gets so excited when Clay swings him around and has pillow fights with him. He used to do that with me! Clay knows how to put Cody to bed each night with minimal screaming (from Cody). They just seem to have a bond that they share, even at this age. Clay is a great Daddy (and an amazing husband) and I can't wait to see how he does with a little girl!

Baby Girl Stuckey

It is so weird to look at these pictures now. It seems so long ago when I had this ultrasound done. Clay was in Hawaii and missed being there for the big revelation, but I called him on the phone and described everything I was seeing. Going into this pregnancy, I just knew that I was going to have another boy. But I was wrong - a baby girl was on order for us. So only about another week to go and we will get to see what she really looks like. I can't wait...this is getting exciting!

Starting something new....

Wow! I feel like I'm Super Woman today. I just started my own Blog! I'm not proud about the "blog" part of it necessarily (I don't personally like them), but that I did it on my own. You see, Clay is the "Super Tech" around this household and I ask him to do everything computer-related for me. I call him my Personal Tech Support. So, the fact that I made it this far without any help...I am one step away from creating the next generation of Email!
